Last minute Christmas gifts
are many times necessary for those who hurry through life.
An unexpected relative drops by, or a coworker or friend
and you need a few last minute Christmas gifts on hand in
order to avoid the embarrassment of receiving a gift without
having one to give in return. Last minute Christmas gifts
are a good thing to plan for 'just incase'.
|
In fact, the last 2 weeks of Christmas time, we recommend carrying
a bag full of last minute Christmas gifts with you wherever you
go just in case you bump into some not-so strangers bearing gifts.
We've put together a few last minute Christmas gifts that you can
give to just about anyone. Our list of last minute Christmas gifts
is by no means comprehensive and we encourage you to come up with
your own list.
Travel Shampoos
Travel shampoos are available from the grocery store or drug store.
They come in small containers and are handy. You can give travel
shampoos to your friends and loved ones who are travelers as well
as those who wish they would travel more. This covers most people.
Christmas Ornaments
Carry a bag full of Christmas ornaments around to give out
as last minute Christmas gifts. Those 99 cent type of store
will carry them during the holidays as will the popular import
stores. You can even make your own Christmas ornaments using
paper clips and sticky notes. The cheaper the better.
Plant Seeds
While plants are great gifts anytime, they are cumbersome
to carry around during the holiday season, but carrying seeds
is not. Carry many different varieties of seeds such as bonsai,
cacti, Chinese medicinal, deer resistant, poppy, suffering
succulents, tobacco, and yucca. If the receiver is not a plant
person, then say the gift is a metaphoric one symbolizing
the seed of thought and of better things to come.
Spontaneous Christmas Carol
Why not give the gift of song this Christmas? Okay, so you've
forgotten to give gifts for half of your list of usual suspects.
Perhaps best last minute Christmas gift is to break out into
a spontaneous rendition of "Little Town of Bethlehem"
or "Oh Come All Ye Faithful" or even "Starry,
Starry, Night". Personalize the song by incorporating
your recipients name into the song. Make it loud, grandiose
and unforgettable. Sing it over a megaphone of the office
intercom or in another loud, public and unforgettable manner.
No matter what last minute Christmas gifts you decide to
give, it is best the you make them personal so that they don't
seem like last minute Christmas gifts. Make them special and
overdo it a bit, and with any luck you recipient will either
never know the different or not call you on it.
